It is fair to saythat most of us gain our news and information about the world froma variety of sources and no one is immune from the influence ofthe Internet. Increasingly we are forced to question the “truth” behind theinformation we are presented with. The recent controversy over theWikiScanner and our own ffice of Prime Minister and Cabinet hasshone more light on this vexed problem. Since Wired News first broke the story a week ago therehas been a plethora of popular media regarding Wikipedia the famed”free encyclopedia that anyone can edit”.
