Today they have moved us closer to making that vision a reality. "They also may have moved Wikipedia and Jimmy Wales a little further from suspicion. There’s been talk of traded favors recently and Wales’s personal life and spending habits have been scrutinized. A $500000 gift is quite a vote of confidence. Assuming anyway that the $500000 isn’t itself one of those sources of trouble.

It was not part of Dr Byron’s brief to study the notion that parents may have started using the internet as an unpaid childminder. Nor does she presume to remind them that libraries still offer more than Wikipedia and that tennis unlike the PlayStation version involves real exercise. But her plea for parental responsibility is timely – and it applies offline as well.

I am sure that one of the reasons that I’m in the top mathsset at my school is because I used to spend so much time when I was youngerplaying. In the game Heroes III you have a castle and you have to build upan army — I spent a lot of time sitting at the computer adding up. I also use Wikipedia to help with my homework. I could survive without it Iwould just go to the library but it is really helpful. And I have juststarted to use.
